The power of being you - calle libre/ Grätzl.Kunst.Tage

There is a power in being exactly who you are. Stretching wide across the landscape, with your chest wide open, not making yourself small, the opposite — visible and ever-expanding — so big you can reach the top of highest mountains.

3 days of painting, couple of sunburns and four helping hands - and my biggest yet mural is now a part of 17th district in Vienna.

It came with less fear, less anxiety than before. My hands know more now, so much - I trusted them to paint the black lines with spray paint. It was so satisfying - to witness spray paint taking over the surface - so smooth and so quick, especially on the wall that was so tough to paint with brushes

For me, as an openly queer and nonbinary person, this mural reflects the joy and vastness I feel when I live in alignment with myself. To move through the world not asking for permission — but simply being.

Living authentically means taking back what is yours and only yours — your emotions, your body, your joy and power.

So be you. Take your power back.
