1,000,000 EUR—that’s the price of this painting. The opposite of humble, right? Well… why not?
 
This was my partner’s idea—the text and the price. When she suggested it, I got so scared. I said, "No… maybe 5,000 EUR?" (Also a very abstract price for me.) Then I realized 5,000 EUR was my maximum—the absolute most I thought my art was worth. It was the limit I allowed myself to put on the value of what I create.
 
In a world where an artwork is worth whatever the artist decides, and a banana duct-taped to a wall sells for 6.2 million dollars, don’t be humble and sit quietly. Know your worth.
