A River
(About non-binary identity)
My shores transform—
reflecting the light of my moods,
the pull of my tides,
the depth of my river,
ever-changing,
bending—
no one can define my flow
(But me).
My breasts,
My divine goddess energy,
I am this, and I am more—
I’m more than that shape, that name, that gaze,
more than the lines drawn around me.
My hips,
my gentle moves.
I am them, and I am more—
more than softness, more than strength,
more than what was offered to me,
more than what was forced, expected,
more than what is seen.
My moon cycles, my uterus.
I want to birth a child,
to hear it call me “mama.”
I am her, and I am more.My river spills and washes off the norms,
becoming more,
becoming море (Russian: "mo-REH" means the sea).
I am a mythic being;
the Goddess shaped me in her image and likeness,
the union of cosmic dust and elements,
through time and space—
coincidence of встреч (Russian: "vstrech" means encounters).
I am a she, a her, a they, and them —
I’m everything I want,
and everything I can contain. No questions asked.
Because no one dares to question a river
